V International specialized exhibition “Boat Expo. Odessa” and V specialized exposition “Diving Expo. Odessa” had taken place in the Odessa Sea Port in April 8-10, 2010.

Traditionally expositions were supported by both the state structures, such as the Ministry of transport and communications of Ukraine, the Ministry of culture and tourism of Ukraine, Odessa regional state administration and profile federations and associations, such as Federation of sailing sport of Ukraine, Federation of water-motor sport of Ukraine, Federation of underwater sport and underwater activity of Ukraine, Odessa regional federation of sailing sport of Ukraine and Association of Odessa yachtsmen.

In April 8 at 12.00 the solemn opening of the exhibitions “Boat Expo. Odessa” and “Diving Expo. Odessa” had taken place on the central scene of the concert-exhibition hall of the Odessa Sea Port. In the solemn opening were present: Head of the Odessa region Matviychuk Eduard, Head of the Odessa regional city Council Skorik Nikolay, the Plenipotentiary ambassador of the republic of South Africa in Ukraine Adries Venter, the Vice-governor of Istanbul Fejzulah Ozdzhan, the Chairman of Turkish-Ukrainian business council Mehmud Bajdak, the Vice-marshal of Lodzinsky region Elzhbeta Hibner, the Vice-marshal of Lublin region Arkadiush Bratkovsky, delegation from Podkarpatsky region Burmistr of Jashla Maria Kurovska, delegation of Podljassky region, the director of "Expo-Yug-Service" company Jury Chumachenko.

Exposition “Services on projecting and building of motor boats, sailing and motor yachts” was presented by the enterprises, which have reach experience and traditions in small shipbuilding. It is a pleasure to admit that these companies are of native origin that won the glory not only in Ukraine but also abroad.

They are such companies as: “Yacht-verf’ “Vokrug Sveta” LTD (Nikolayev), “Navigarus” (Yuzhniy), “Sigo Marine” LTD (Odessa), “Alexander Yachts” LTD (Kharkov), “Esta LTD” (Nikolayev), «Norman Yacht & Pavel Shaposhnikov Design» (Sumy).

Exposition “Yachts, boats, motor boats” was presented both by native and foreign trade marks, such as: “Sigma” LTD, “Atlas Marine”, “Yacht-verf’ “Vokrug Sveta” LTD, “Navigarus”, “Sigo Marine” LTD, “Alexander Yachts” LTD, “Esta LTD”, “Sport - Marine”. Inflatable boats were presented by the companies “Aqua Star” Ukraine (TM AquaStar) and “HonWave” by HONDA. Also “Spetsautotechnika Center”, being the official representative of HONDA in Odessa region, represented outboard motors, boat motors, and also water motor-pumps of multi-purpose use. Federation of water-motor sport of Ukraine being traditionally present on the exhibition showed sport boats and the yacht of “Optimist” class.

Stands of "Yacht-club" magazine and Association of Odessa yachtsmen on which all the history and yachting evolution in Odessa since the first on the Black sea Imperial Yacht-Club has been presented, became the exhibition’s ornament.

Exposition “Charter and tourism” by means of the company “Pupa Yachting” (Turkey) and tour operator in the sphere of productive leisure “Sport Production Service” offered a wide choice of services dealing with the choice and rent of yachts, and also on tourist potential of the chosen countries.

Exposition “Equipment for yachts and boats. Means on operation, leaving and transportation of water mechanics” has been presented by following companies: Golovanjuk A.V. PE, Rybak PE, “Yachtglanz marine equipment” (Germany), “Tekhmetalservis”, “Watercraft Mix” (USA). For the first time this year the company “Sea Style”, offering a full spectrum of services for decoration of yachts and boats by means of products from textiles on sea thematic, beginning from exclusive bed-clothes, and finishing the form and stripes for all command has been presented on the exhibition.

Exposition “Registration. Insurance. Certification”. Companies, presented in the given exposition, namely “Vanuatu Ship Registry”, IC “Osnova”, “International Law Offices” and “Bureau Veritas” offered the help and consultations to all who has met difficulties with registrations, insurance and registration of water vehicles. Any interested person had the possibility to receive the qualified consultation directly at the stand of participants, and also to receive the detailed information on all their interesting questions.

With this objective “International Law Offices” Company within the limits of the exhibition held the Round table on registration and insurance of yachts and boats already for the fifth time – “Yacht. Flag. Polis. Registration and insurance of yachts and boats”.

This year all the visitors could visit one more event for the given subject – Round table “Certification of small courts for rest and entertainments under the European Instruction 2003-44 EU”, spent by “Bureau Veritas” Company. Demand for similar presentations and round tables grows from year to year to what stably increasing quantity of listeners testifies.

Exposition “Goods for water kinds of sports and productive leisure on water”. Stands of the companies “Sun Marine”, “Board Sport Center” and “Sport – Marine” (the open area of the Sea Port) became an ornament of the exhibition and the zone of heightened interest among the visitors. Fans of productive leisure had the possibility to buy all necessary equipment to dissect the waves of the Black Sea and not only this one! Water ski, surfboards, boards and sails for surfing, equipment for kite-surfing, helmets, waistcoats and diving suits – all this and many other things were offered to the visitors of the exhibition. Besides, surfing-clubs “Sun Marine” and “Board Sport Center” offered services of high quality instructors in training of the given kinds of sport that get increasing popularity.

Specialized exposition “Diving Expo. Odessa” in which framework the following companies have been presented: dive-club “Lamantin”, the dive-centre “Tactical Diving”, dive-club “KAlipso”, deserved separate attention. Skilled instructors gave irrefragable answers on all the questions both for fans and professionals in the field of diving. At stands of the companies presentations were held. On the stands of participants different presentations were held. S, on the stand of “Technical Diving” in April 9, 2010 took place the meeting with Maxim Krivonos, GUE diver, the progressive international training and research organization in the field of diving GlobalUnderwater Explorers, GUE diver of TEC2 and Cave 1 level. The visitors of the exhibition had the possibility to get acquainted with the principles of modern DIR-diving widely introduced in practice of underwater GUE immersing. And also you’ll get not deformed representations about the correct configuration of equipment, base principles of safety of DIR-diving and many other interesting things.

The company “Laboratory of underwater technologies” offered visitors last novelties in the field of equipment for diving, and at the stand of the “Black Sea Engineering Company” it was possible to familiarize and get the equipment necessary for technical diving.

For the first time for years of “Dining Expo. Odessa” existence in its frameworks has taken place the presentation of the Program “New eco-technologies for revival of fish stocks and development of resort business for the Black Sea” and the Round table “Movement “Artificial reefs” in Ukraine - for fishermen, divers and businessmen”. The organizer of this event was the Russian noncommercial Fund “Artificial Reefs” in the name of its president - Sergey Fedotov (Russia, Moscow). The given actions have united all not indifferent to the problems of pollution of the sea, washing away of beaches, sea-shore protection and also the possibilities of fulfillment of fascinating underwater travel in the waters of native Black Sea. Among the participants of the round table there were representatives of administration of Odessa and Yalta, business (fishing, yachts, diving centers, beaches, building and real estate of the coastal strip, advertising and PR), ecological organizations and services of Ukraine and Russia, youth organizations and research establishments.

The offers on decision of problems dealing with costal strengthening have offered such companies as “Minbud” and “Eurasia Expertstroy”. Special interest of the visitors was dedicated to the stands of “Master Graevsky” (Russia), representing exclusive knifes and axes from a Damask steel and “Marinepool” Company, representing yachting clothes from the leading European brand ТМ «Marinepool» which with each year gets invariable popularity among fans of productive leisure.

Companies “Aeroscan” and “Citrus-Discount” have shown novelties of the navigating equipment. Motto - and the water mechanics had been presented by shops “Yurimota”, “Motortrack” and the company “Sport – Marine”.

On creation of a wide resonance of the exhibition the advertising campaign including all modern tools of advertising communications and public relations has been directed. All the events within the limits of “BoatExpo.Odessa” exhibition in 2010 were highly appreciated by experts. Results of the questioning spent at an exhibition among participants and visitors allow predicting expansion of the exhibition’s exposition, increasing in quantity of its participants and visitors.
